What is Conversion Rate? And Why Should I Improve It on Amazon?
Conversion rate is the ratio determined by the number of people that visit your product page AND buy versus the number of people that visit and DON’T buy. If you had a brick & mortar store with a physical location, your conversion rate would be the number of transactions that were placed divided by the number of people that walked through the door. If 100 people walked in and 30 bought, your conversion rate was 30%. Simple, eh? Well… it’s extra important on Amazon because Amazon’s algorithm looks at each products’ Conversion Rate and compares it with the other products in the search results. In case you were wondering, currently, it’s completely free to publish A+ Brand Content. We expect Amazon to eventually charge brands for this feature. As it stands, EBC takes the place of your product’s description. We advise our clients to have a product description in both the main product description area on the Edit Product Details section of Seller Central as well as the Product Description section of the A+ Content. Remember, you are always at the mercy of Amazon and they can choose to remove any content at any time as they wish for any reason (or no reason even, too!).
How Much Does Amazon A+ Content Cost?
Sharpen Marketing charges $350 per product design.
